SCF is very much a "Church in the Community" and treasures its links with other local churches and Christian organisations who share our same heart and purpose.
Some of these the organisations below have the direct involvement of SCF members, while with others, we partner alongside local churches and Christian groups to make a difference in our community. These include:
- Sidewalk – Scarborough Churches Detached Youth Work Project. The project is in regular face-to-face contact with over 120 young people in need.
- Scarborough Refugee Network. Together with 14 other local agencies from both voluntary and statutory sectors, SCF seeks to support the welfare of Asylum Seekers and others resident in the town from other parts of the world.
- Faith in Scarborough Schools (FISS). Sharing and supporting Christian young people and teachers in local Schools with Rock Solid Clubs and on-going projects.
- Street Angels. A united churches group that works in the town centre at the weekends particularly between 10.00am and 2.00am in vulnerable areas. The Church is the leading agency and is strongly supported by Scarborough Borough Council and North Yorkshire Police.
- Spring Tide Conference. This is an annual event taking place over a week-end early in May. International Speakers bring ministry to the 'whole church' in town.
- Faithworks. The Oasis Family Centre is pleased to be part of Faithworks (Scarborough) which aims to ensure the delivery of quality community services from and on behalf of local churches.
